Installations

Our controls are engineered by service people who are aware of the high costs associated with downtime. Controls are built to specifications well beyond manufacturing requirements. Ridgewood has integrated the advantages of leading edge technology with a base of proven industrial controls allowing our systems to meet or exceed all expectations of performance, reliability and flexibility.

All our systems are fully assembled and test run in our fabricating shop prior to shipment. Operator stations and field devices are connected by remote I/O, decreasing installation times and costs. Integration with other mill equipment has been incorporated, eliminating the need for extraneous logic. Commissioning times are typically less than one day utilizing these strategies.

All control functions are processed by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). All possible information is input to the PLC to permit complete and accurate diagnostics.

Real time SCADA (Wonderware®) is available as an option. With built in links to Microsoft SQL Database Server® the machine controls become an integral part of your ERP solution.

We have designed and manufactured control systems for all processes in the tube and pipe industry since 1981.

Most of these systems were retrofit installations and in every case Ridgewood satisfied the requirements of all parties involved (management, financial, engineering, production and maintenance).
