Ridgewood

Ridgewood Electric Limited (1990) has been a respected electrical and electronic contractor to the tube and pipe industry since 1981. Prior to 1990 it was operated as Inductarn Inc. and changed its name in 1990 to reflect a change of ownership.

Ridgewood acted as Canadian service agent for Inductron (Inductroguild) Ltd. of the UK until they were purchased by Thermatool Corp. in 1984. Subsequent to the purchase Ridgewood became service agent for Thermatool and Alpha. Ridgewood was appointed the exclusive sales and service agent of Thermatool and Alpha for Eastern Canada in 1992. Similar contracts developed with Thermatool Lemont and Thermatool Mill Systems in the years that followed.

Ridgewood USA was incorporated in 1998 and was awarded the title of “Authorized Service and Distribution Agent” for Thermatool Corp in the United States. Over the years Ridgewood has established itself as a highly competent organization placing reliability and service as important keys to customer satisfaction. This has made Ridgewood a valued asset to a large number of tube and pipe producers in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Since 1984 Ridgewood has engineered, manufactured and installed its own line of mill drive systems. Currently, there are over twenty systems installed on mills within Canada. Several of these customers have multiple systems and some are planning the installation of further systems.

Ridgewood USA Ltd.

Ridgewood USA Ltd. is the American based subsidiary of Ridgewood Electric. The close association established by Ridgewood with Inductron and later Thermatool led to the service and maintenance of equipment for many US tube and pipe producers. The growing demand for these services gave rise to the need for a US based operation. The response to this demand was the formation of Ridgewood USA in 1998.

Thermatool Corp. recognized the opportunity to utilize the successful relationship experienced in the Canadian industry to enhance its services to US customers. Ridgewood USA is now operating in the central region of the United States and is an authorized service and distribution agent for Thermatool. Fully stocked with Thermatool parts and consumables Ridgewood USA is poised and ready to serve the electrical and electronic needs of the US tube and pipe industry.
